Orxata Sound System és un grup valencià, concretament nascut a l’Horta a l’estiu del 2003, que mescla música electrònica amb cants en valencià i altres estils autòctons.
Orxata Sound System pretén fusionar les arrels (la llengua, la cultura, etc.) valencianes amb les últimes tendències en la música. En paraules d’ells, “la nostra pretén ser una música d’encontres, urbana i rural; orgànica i electrònica; de tradició i d’avantguarda”.
El grup de l’Horta, actuarà en Pedreguer (La Marina Alta, 03750) el proper dissabte 4 de Novembre, en un concert organitzat per la Quintà 2007. En aquest concert també actuaran Tarkim i A kuadros.
Però el que més m’ha agradat del grup, ho he descobert al entrar en la seva pàgina web: la seva filosofia de la creació. Orxata és un dels pocs grups que conec del terreny que publiquen les seves obres baix la llicència Creative Commons, és a dir, creuen amb l’ideal de la cultura lliure i gratuïta per a tothom.
Podeu consultar més informació sobre el grup en la seva pàgina web i us recomané assistir al concert en Pedreguer (i a tots els altres als que pugueu assistir) per tres raons com a mínim:
- Perquè tenen una música activa i amb missatge.
- Perquè participen en la idea de la Cultura Lliure.
- I perquè el concert l’organitzen els quintos (xP).
